1. Sundar Nepal
There is a three eyed god in the bed of the Himalayas, there are silent reincarnations of peace in the ponds, there are rivers of gold, silver and diamonds flowing everywhere; there are hills with breasts of greenery and plains with the sweet smell of mother earth. Everything in Nepal is beautiful, and everything is at one place.
Sundar Nepal is the category of HAMRO NEPAL’’ that encourages photographers to submit photos pertaining to Nepal and her beauty. Photos of natural beauty, cultural heritages, and photos essaying different cast and ethnicities will be included in this category.
2. Nepali Rangaharu
The red Tika of tradition, the flowing flags of religion, the pallet of cultures, the colorful clouds of geography and the seasons that arises white ray of hope in our hearts.
Nepali Rangaharu is the category of ‘‘HAMRO NEPAL’’ incorporating artistic colorful photos of Nepal. The category welcomes diverse subjects where creative ideas and innovative expressions explore vivacity of colors. The colors must define the photos. The photographers have full liberty to select the content and context of the photos.
3. Nepal Aaja
Nepal is not a small country but a Nation with huge ideas and possibilities.
Nepal Aaja is the category of ‘‘HAMRO NEPAL’’ that encourages photos that have a journalistic essence. This category aims to promote photojournalism in Nepal highlighting various issues. Photos with strong news content and bold visual perspectives will be the main concern for the category. The category is open to professional photojournalists as well as amateurs, and photo enthuses.
4. Mero Cell Phone/Compact Camera Bata
I have a small secret in the shirt pocket near my heart. I didn’t let you know but I have you in it.
Mero Cell Phone/Compact Camera Bata is the category of ‘‘HAMRO NEPAL’’ which includes photos taken with mobile phones, and compact cameras. The category encourages everyone who can point and shoot. Student photographers and photo enthusiasts are especially encouraged to send in their photographs.
