About
BKS

Since its inception in 2010, Bal-Kala Sangrahalaya (BKS) has been a beacon of creativity, empowerment, and healing, igniting a love for art in the hearts of children and youth across diverse communities. An inspiring initiative of Artudio, BKS serves as a virtual archive that celebrates and preserves the unique artistic expressions of young minds aged 2 years and above. Our mission is simple yet profound: to recognize and honor the boundless potential of every child by capturing, appreciating, and sharing their artwork with the world. At BKS, we see each child’s artwork not just as a piece of paper with colors but as a powerful testament to their imagination, feelings, and dreams. We are dedicated to providing a platform that treats these creations with the respect and care they deserve, ensuring that every brushstroke and doodle is cherished and valued. But our vision stretches far beyond merely preserving these beautiful creations online. We host vibrant physical exhibitions that bring the artwork to life, allowing communities to experience firsthand the profound impact of children’s creativity. Additionally, we are tirelessly working towards establishing a permanent creative space—a sanctuary where young artists can showcase their work, find inspiration, and where creativity and learning can flourish together. Our commitment to using art as a force for positive change has led to some truly impactful initiatives. In 2015, we launched *Healing Through Art*, a project dedicated to helping children who had faced trauma find solace and expression through their art. This initiative provided a safe, nurturing environment where children could channel their emotions and begin the healing process. Our work doesn’t stop there. BKS has been a driving force behind the creation of the Pran Community Center in Dolakha—a space that brings people together, fosters community engagement, and serves as a hub for artistic expression. Bal-Kala Sangrahalaya is more than just a project; it is a movement—a commitment to bringing communities closer, healing wounds through creative expression, and helping young artists thrive. By nurturing the creativity of our youth, we are building a future that values compassion, connection, and cultural richness. Through BKS, we aim to inspire a world that sees art not just as a subject, but as a powerful tool for education, personal growth, and societal transformation. Together, we are shaping a brighter, more empathetic world—one piece of art at a time.
