Artudio International Artists Residency Program
A Sustainable, Artists-Led Creative Sanctuary in Kathmandu and Patan
At Artudio, we believe that true artistic growth flourishes in a space created by artists, for artists—a nurturing environment where creativity, collaboration, and cultural dialogue thrive naturally. Our residency program is grounded in this philosophy, offering more than accommodation or facilities: it’s a community and a shared journey.
What Makes Artudio Different?
- Artists-Run and Community-Focused: Artudio is built and sustained by artists who understand the needs and rhythms of artistic practice. Our residency is designed to support your creative process and foster meaningful connections—without commercial pressures or distractions.
- Sustainability at the Core: We prioritize sustainable living and respectful engagement with Nepal’s cultural heritage and natural environment, encouraging artists to create with awareness and responsibility.
- Deep Cultural Immersion: This is not a typical tourist stay. You’ll live and work in authentic cultural neighborhoods—Swoyambhu or Patan—where centuries-old traditions, vibrant local communities, and living arts practices coexist.
- Shared Growth: The residency supports a two-way exchange—artists share knowledge, engage with local artists and communities, and in turn receive inspiration, support, and resources to deepen their work.
