Marianne Heredge is a watercolour painter whose practice is rooted in attentive observation and the quiet poetics of everyday life. Her work captures atmosphere, movement, and the subtle emotional textures of place through fluid, responsive mark-making.
During her residency at Artudio, Marianne is immersing herself in the living heritage of Kathmandu, Patan, Dolakha and Ramechhap—studying its nature, architecture, rhythms, and intimate street scenes. She translates these encounters into delicate watercolour compositions that reflect both immediacy and contemplation.
Her residency opens a thoughtful dialogue between her evolving visual language and Nepal’s natural and cultural landscape, offering a sensitive, nuanced perspective shaped through color, light, and presence.
