We are excited to announce an exclusive Dabu Printing Workshop led by Dheeraj Chhipa, a new-generation textile designer from Bagru, Jaipur.
Dheeraj comes from a family with a rich legacy of block printing spanning over four generations. Trained in Soft Material Application at the Indian Institute of Crafts and Design (IICD), he blends traditional techniques with contemporary design thinking, sustainable creativity, and innovative experimentation. In 2015, he launched his label “Dheeraj Chhipa”, channeling his expertise and passion into reviving age-old artistic tradition while introducing new dimensions of aesthetics and functionality.
A particular highlight of his practice is the revival of Fadat printing, an artistic heritage that had been dormant in his family for nearly 50 years, which he has brought back with renewed vigor. Participants in this workshop will have the rare opportunity to learn the intricate Dabu printing techniques, explore natural dyes, and experience hands-on the richness of Bagru’s block-printing heritage.
