A bag, a jar, a pair of sandals—these emblems of life’s quiet rhythm transform into symbols of loss. Through the act of caging these everyday objects, the work reflects on the ways we impose limitations on ourselves and others. The delicate act of threading around these objects mirrors the fragility of human connections and the subtle, often unspoken ways we impose barriers on one another.
We do this to each other, too, spinning invisible boundaries of control, silence, and absence, turning what was once natural and essential into something distant and unattainable. Viewers are invited to confront their own sense of dependence and the discomfort of seeing what was once accessible rendered unreachable. The tension between need and denial becomes a space for reflection, allowing us to examine the emotional impact of losing access to what we once relied on.
