Our story

Healing
through art

Healing through art is an initiative that Artudio started right after the 7.8 Richter scale massive earthquake in 2015 AD. The team of artists and volunteers visited many earthquake districts of Nepal to support children, youth and the community people through art healing processes.

1st healing through art in Danda Gaon, Kavre district

The 1st Healing through art campaigain took place in Danda Gaon , Kavre disctrict on few days later of 2015 earthquake.

“Dhanda Gaun” one of the village in Kavre. Most of the homes are gone all the villagers have been homeless, they have been staying in small “Chhapors”. they have lost everything.

Artists Kailash K Shrestha, Kabiraj Lama, Pawan Joshi, Krisha Tamrakar and Srisha Maharjan went to the village to conduct the camp.

Rupesh Man Singh who is one of the coordinator of Bal Kala Sangrahalaya coordinated everything to make this happen in Dhanda Gaun with his friends who also supported the villagers.

one of the great experience that we have collected from the children was that we don’t want to build house now we want to build “CHHAPRO” because it does not fall and kill us. So sweet all the children. they have a lot of fear and pain of recent earthquake and it has huge psychological impact to them.We Hope we could heal their fear and pain through art.
