Artudio invites artists from all over the world for the Artudio International Artist Residency (AIAR), a year-round program designed to offer a creative space for artists from various disciplines. The residency offers flexible durations ranging from 1 to 3 months. Situated in historic city Kathmandu and Patan Nepal, Artudio provides a safe and unique environment for artists to engage in contemporary art practices, contribute to the local art community and learn from it.

Artudio offers residents an immersive opportunity to engage with Nepal’s dynamic traditional and contemporary art scene, fostering both creativity and collaboration. The program provides dedicated time and space to deepen your artistic practice while experiencing the rich cultural, spiritual and natural heritage of Nepal.

Additional Facilities Artudio provides at Both Spaces:
Artudio– Head Quarter, Swoyambhu : Shared studio workspace within the apartment, along with access to an additional shared 800 sq. ft. studio space in the same building.
Artudio – Patan Wing: Personal workspace with an individual desk in the residence studio apartment, plus access to a shared 400 sq. ft. studio within the same building.
What applicant artists need to contribute to Artudio?
1 Month – USD 750

Artists are welcome to bring one companion—either a family member or partner—for an additional $10 per day.
All residency fees are to be settled upon arrival at the residency.
