Artudio — Patan Wing
Artudio is pleased to present And Still, There’s Light — where absence grows, an exhibition by Bangladeshi artist duo Lamia Azad and Shamim Ahmed Chowdhury, developed during their March 2026 residency with the Artudio International Artist Residency (AIAR).
Conceived as an outcome of their time at Artudio, the exhibition unfolds as a shared journey between rebuild and rupture—tracing the emotional and material residues of a world shaped by displacement, fragmentation, and quiet resilience. Working collaboratively, the duo constructs a borderless narrative space where destruction is not only witnessed, but processed through fragments, voids, and buried traces.
The works emerge from a fractured dawn—where certainty has collapsed, yet something persists. A faint light endures. Like fireflies caught in a window, these moments of illumination hold memory, carry hope, and continue to glow within silence.
Rooted in their residency experience, And Still, There’s Light — where absence grows reflects an intimate engagement with process, place, and presence. Absence here is not treated as emptiness, but as a generative condition—where meaning is rebuilt through layers of loss, endurance, and subtle transformation.
We warmly invite you to join us for the opening and experience this contemplative body of work shaped through dialogue, collaboration, and lived inquiry.
