Artudio is delighted to welcome Kripa Shakya and Smarika Maharjan as resident artists for the Artudio × Siddhartha Arts Foundation Artist-in-Residence 2026.
The residency runs from 5 to 30 August 2026 and is hosted at Artudio – Patan Wing, Nakabahil, Lalitpur, in collaboration with the Siddhartha Arts Foundation.
During the residency, both artists will engage in focused periods of research, experimentation, and studio practice, developing new ideas and works in response to their individual practices and the cultural context of Kathmandu Valley.
Their practices bring together material exploration, personal narratives, memory, and layered visual languages.
Through this residency, Artudio aims to provide a dedicated space for artists to experiment, reflect, and develop their practices while fostering meaningful artistic exchange and dialogue.
We look forward to sharing glimpses of their studio processes and following the development of their work throughout the residency.
